Sunday School Classes: CURRENTLY NOT MEETING DUE TO COVID PROTOCOL
It is our deepest desire to keep the health and safety of the children in our ministry here at FBC Tucker a priority. We have recently felt the need to begin planning and dreaming about how we could “re-start” our children’s ministry amid COVID protocols and procedures. Rethinking what a “COVID informed” ministry setting for children will look like in our church has taken more than one perspective and more than one point of view!
We compiled a short survey with questions for parents and caregivers and made the following informed decisions:
a RSVP system for Sunday morning worship. Not only will this allow us to track our attendance for COVID purposes, it also allows us to plan for smaller groups that are age appropriate, since some ages can’t wear masks.
We had a positive response to limiting the number of toys/activities each week to what we can appropriately disinfect. Activities will be set out intentionally for the use of our volunteers and toys sanitized after each service.
We will also be taking the temperature of all children and volunteers upon entering the ministry classroom area.
We hope to utilize our outdoor classroom space for story-telling and allow children the opportunity to get fresh air and mask breaks as needed. Please send your children with jackets with hoods if the weather is a little cool or windy because we will go outside for a mask break if at all possible.
If you are visiting FBCT on a Sunday morning and would like your children to attend children’s classes, please send them to rsvp by the previous Wednesday evening so that we can adequately prepare a place for them on Sunday morning. We covet your prayers as we seek to care for our youngest worshippers at FBCT!
Please make ONE SUBMISSION PER CHILD. If you would like to register more than one child, please fill out one form for EACH CHILD.
MASKS: Masks will be required for children ages 4 and older. We require masks for all caregiver.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: While many of our activities so not require children to be near one another, children do form relationships and want to be near their friends. We will not be expecting children to keep a 6 foot distance from one another in class, but will do our best to limit shared resources among students.
